Linggango Server Hosting
By Justin, founder of Alpenglow Hosting · Pack facts checked on CurseForge, 2026-10-20
What Linggango is
A Terraria-inspired pack on Forge 1.20.1: classes, parrying, over 90 bosses, reforging, and a world generator built from scratch. There is no separate Linggango server pack; on Alpenglow you do not need one, the server is built from the pack itself.
Best for: Friends who want boss progression and builds, in a world that does not look like vanilla.

How much RAM a Linggango server needs
Misanthropy states 6 GB minimum and 8 GB recommended on CurseForge. A paying group on Alpenglow runs Linggango at 8 GB.
You can change the RAM at any time in the panel. If the console shows the server running out of memory or tick times climbing, go one step up. More on sizing in how much RAM a Minecraft server needs.
What a Linggango server costs
One credit is one hour of 1 GB RAM, so a 8 GB server uses 8 credits an hour. A credit costs one cent at the base price and about 0.77 cents in the largest pack. Hours while nobody is online cost nothing, because the server sleeps.
A flat monthly plan with 8 GB costs the same whether you play 13 hours or 300. Pay-per-hour wins until a server runs more than roughly eight hours every day. The full comparison is in the Minecraft server cost guide.
How to start a Linggango server on Alpenglow
- 1Create an accountEmail and password, or sign in with Google. No card. You start with 50 free credits.
- 2Click New Server and search for the packType "Linggango" in the modpack search. The right loader, Forge, and Minecraft 1.20.1 are set for you.
- 3Set the RAMMove the slider to 8 GB. You can change it later.
- 4Start the serverThe first start takes a few minutes: the custom world generator does a lot of work before the first chunk appears.
- 5Share the addressEvery server gets its own address. When a friend joins, a sleeping server wakes up on its own; the first join attempt times out while it starts, so reconnect once it is up.
Good to know
- Misanthropy publishes no separate server pack. Alpenglow builds the server from the pack and leaves out client-only mods.
- The pack ships frequent beta versions. If a new version misbehaves, the console explains the cause, and you can stay on the previous version.
If the pack crashes on start, the server console explains the cause in plain language. The most common reasons for modded packs are too little RAM and a mod that only belongs on the client. The free crash log analyzer reads any log, and our guide on why modpack servers keep crashing covers the rest.

8 GB. The author lists 6 GB as the minimum and 8 GB as recommended, and a paying group on Alpenglow runs it at 8 GB. Go to 10 GB for larger groups or long-running worlds.
How much does a Linggango server cost?
At 8 GB the server uses 8 credits an hour, 8 cents at the base price. Three evenings a week of about three hours each, roughly 39 hours a month, come to about €3.10, or about €2.40 with the largest credit pack. The server sleeps and costs nothing while nobody plays.

No. On Alpenglow you do not need one: select Linggango when creating the server and the installer builds the server from the pack, removing mods that only run on the client.
